Baiyun Lake is located in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, with an area of about 3,000 acres, and half of the water and land areas. It is the largest artificial lake in the city's central urban area.
The main role is to replenish ecological hydration on the surrounding river surge, and at the same time, it has the functions of rain floods and leisure landscapes. Guangzhou Baiyun Lake has become a large -scale comprehensive water conservancy park featuring natural ecology. In the future, it will further develop into a water conservancy engineering scenic area that integrates water safety, water ecology, water landscape, and water culture.

The Baiyun Lake Project was officially started on December 22, 2006. It belongs to the first phase of the northern water system construction project. By establishing a Guanghe Pump Station, the water port on the north side of the Bridge of the Pearl River West Heroes has been established. The diversion canal reaches Baiyun Lake. After the first phase of the northern water system is completed, 1 million cubic meters of live water can be introduced from the Pearl River West Channel every day to enter Baiyun Lake. Living water can not only directly brush the Shijing River, but even the 20 rivers in the north can be directly hydrated by Baiyun Lake. Through the communication between the river, more than 60 water quality can be improved.

The overall planning and design plan, Baiyun Lake not only has the functionality of water conservancy projects such as water quality testing centers and sluice management houses, but also has six veins and Qingyuan Square, tree -lined squares, shade lawns and leisure centers. In the southeast of Baiyun Lake, there are also sports and leisure places such as basketball courts, tennis courts.
At the same time, in the "Green Road", there is no scenery in both running or cycling. The 40 -kilometer -long bicycle track and 10 kilometers of running channels allow citizens to move in a green ring in the year.
